Youth Ministry +
Christian Formation
There are many aspects to our Youth Ministry and High School Christian Formation programs.
High school students in grades 9 through 11 meet on certain Sunday afternoons at St. Catherine of Alexandria from 12:00 to 1:00pm throughout the school year.
They learn about and discuss our Catholic faith in a way that prepares students to live as Catholic Christians within both the parish community and the wider community.
We discuss a variety of topics including Catholic doctrine, Scripture, morality, the sacraments, and how to live as Christian disciples in our world. Formation for juniors in high school focuses largely on preparation for Confirmation.
Yearly retreats, service opportunities, and a variety of community life activities are also part of our programs.
For High School Age Teens
The program seeks to provide children with the knowledge, experiences, and skills necessary to become faithful and fruitful disciples of Jesus.
Parents are the primary educators in the faith, and we are partners with you in your child’s faith journey.
Class sessions are held on Sunday afternoons from 12:00 to 1:00pm at St. Catherine of Alexandria in the school.
Prayer services and Masses on special days are part of the curriculum. Parents are encouraged to take an active part in their child’s Christian formation through these prayer experiences, as well as parent meetings and other family faith formation opportunities.
